NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin College cross country teams raced well in one of the most competitive fields of the season, at the home of the NESCAC Championship course Saturday at the Connecticut College Invitational.
The women's team placed 12
th of 33 teams, beating several ranked squads, while the men's team placed 22
nd of 34 squads.
Women's Meet Highlights
- In the loaded field, Bowdoin scored 409 points to take 12th spot, with an average time of 22:32.
- Leading the way was first-year Laura White, who placed 36th individually in 21:43.8.
- Kaylee Hale was 84th in 22:35.6 while Angelina Hickey ended 87th in 22:37.1
- Cam Meyer also earned a top-100 finish in the 271 runner race with a time of 22:40.4 to place 97th.
Men's Meet Highlights
- The Polar Bear men ended 22nd with a team score of 621 and an average time of 26:01 in the 8k race.
- Seamus McDonough paced Bowdoin in 62nd spot with a time of 25:06.3.
- Ashton Dunlap was 104th in 25:41.4 while Axel Nzi ended 139th in 26:08.0.
