White, McDonough Lead Cross Country Teams at NCAA Regional

HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Bowdoin College cross country teams ran well at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Saturday in New Hampshire, with the Polar Bear women taking fifth and the men placing seventh overall.

Women's Meet Highlights - Results

The Polar Bear women placed fifth, totaling 158 points and just being edged out for fourth place by Suffolk (153) in the 30-team field.
Laura White was Bowdoin's top finisher in the 6k event, and the top finisher on the day for the Polar Bears as a whole, capturing sixth place and All-Region honors with a time of 21:41.
Angelina Hickey was 36^th in a time of 22:45, followed closely by Kaylee Hale in 38^th at 22:48.
Cam Meyer (23:00) and Tori Bacall (23:04) were the other top Bowdoin finishers, taking 43^rd and 45^th spot, respectively.

Men's Meet Highlights – Results

The Polar Bears out-performed their pre-race seeding, placing seventh with a team score of 269, passing Keene in the final 2K.
Seamus McDonough earned his first All-Region recognition, covering the 8K course in 24^th place at 25:23.
Ashton Dunlap posted a 42^nd place finish in a time of 26:03 while Ryan Boulanger (64^th, 26:33), Axel Nzi (66^th, 26:34) and Henry Sacco (73^rd, 26:51) rounded out the top-five finishers for the Polar Bears.
