BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The Bowdoin cross country teams ran to top-five team finishes at the Maine State Championship hosted at the Pickard Cross Country Course on Saturday morning. 

The Polar Bear women claimed third-place in the 11 team field with 83 points with an average 6,000m time of 22:10.32 while the men of Bowdoin claimed fourth-place with 99 points and an average 8,000m time of 26:04. 

Women's Meet Highlights

• The Polar Bears placed its entire top-5 within the top-20 finishes. Laura White led the team with a 13th-place finish (22:01.8). 

• Cam Meyer (15th, 22:08.1), Angelina Hickey (17th, 22:06.5), Kaylee Hale (18th 22:12.5), Francine Miller (20th, 22:22.8) rounded out the depth of Bowdoin's top-five.

• Elise Casso (21st, 22:22.9) and Gwen Purnell (23rd, 22:29.2) completed the team's top-seven.

Men's Meet Highlights

• Matthew Servin posted the best finish of the day for Bowdoin with a top-10 performance. Servin took ninth overall in a field of 157 runners, clocking a time of 25:37.3.

• Seamus McDonough (13th, 25:50.3), Elliott Fontaine (21st, 26:01.9), Daniel Smith (27th, 26:22.8) and Oliver Brandes (29th, 26:31.3) made up the top-five scorers for the Polar Bears.

• Henry Sacco (33rd, 27:04.6) and Ryan Boulanger (35th, 27:18.4) completed Bowdoins top-seven scorers.
