WATERFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin College cross country team competed at the 2025 NESCAC Championship Saturday at Harkness Memorial State Park. The women's team battled a deep field to take seventh overall while the men's team, felled by illness, took 11^th at the championship.
 
Women's Meet Highlights

• In the women's 6k, the Polar Bears finished with 210 points, trailing sixth place Wesleyan (182) and finishing ahead of eighth-place Bates (224). Williams won the title with a score of 32 team points.
• First-year Laura White continued her outstanding fall campaign, posting a 17^th-place finish in her debut at NESCAC's (21:58.2).
• Kaylee Hale was 45^th in 22:42.3, followed by Angelina Hickey in 54^th (22:58.0).
• Andrea Becker (66^th, 23:08.2), Tori Bacall (73^rd, 23:16.9), and Leta Griffith (77^th, 23:20.6) rounded out the top Polar Bears.

Men's Meet Highlights

• The Polar Bear men, who had high expectations, were victimized by illness which led to their 11^th place showing in the 8k event.
• Seamus McDonough was 29^th in a time of 25:18.6 while Ashton Dunlap was the only other top-100 finisher in 94^th at 26:31.3.
• Elliott Fontaine (26:52.5) and Axel Nzi (26:53.5) finished in 114^th and 115^th place, respectively.

• The Polar Bears will look to get healthy over the next two weeks in preparation for the NCAA East Regional Championship in Hopkinton, N.H., the same course that Bowdoin competed at on October 10^th.
