BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin junior Seamus McDonough (Homer, Alaska) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. 

At the NEICAAA Championships at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds in Hopkinton, N.H., McDonough was the top Division III runner, covering the 8K course in a time of 24:33.64 to place 10th out of 267 runners from all NCAA divisions. The Polar Bears finished 11th overall (second among NCAA Division III teams) in the team standings.

McDonough and the Polar Bears will be back in action Saturday at the Connecticut College Invitational, their final meet prior to the NESCAC Championship on November 1, also at Connecticut College.
