Women's Squash Cruises to Pair of Wins in New York

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's squash team posted a pair of impressive road wins in a quick trip to New York State this weekend.
 
Weekend Highlights
  • The Polar Bears, winners of four of five matches in the New Year, didn't lost a match, cruising to a 9-0 win over 29th-ranked William Smith and 8-0 triumph over 23rd-ranked St. Lawrence. Bowdoin currently stands 18th in the CSA rankings.
  • Bowdoin easily dispatched William Smith with nine shutout wins. Emma Watts-Roy, Amanda Cowhey, Darcy Weber, Clare Collins, Kira Gwadry, Amelie Matuch, Linley Grosman, Mira Karande, and Janie Lytle accounted for the 3-0 victories.
  • It was more of the same in an eight-player match against the Saints, with Cowhey, Collins, Gwadry, Grosman, and Karade earning 3-0 wins. Weber and Matuch collected 3-1 wins and Watts-Roy won by retirement at number one.
