Men's Golf Takes Best-Ever Finish at Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's golf team posted its best-ever finish at the Williams Invitational this weekend, placing third in a highly competitive field at the Taconic Golf Club.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • The Polar Bears leaped up the final standings thanks to a stellar second round, posting a team total of 299 to finish with a two-day score of 605, trailing only nationally-ranked Gustavus Adolphus (590) and Middlebury (599).
  • Andrew Flynn carded the second-best round in the field on Sunday, shooting an even par 71 to end in a tie for eighth place individually (149), sharing that spot with teammate Joey Zheng who went 73-76-149.
  • Matthew Cohen ended in 20th place thanks to a 75-77-152, followed closely by Henry Mariscal, who jumped 24 spots on day two to finish in 41st with a 155 two-day score.
  • Ian Harris rounded out the Bowdoin competitors with a 159 two-day total, taking 67th spot.
