Men's Golf Opens Season With 10th Place Finish at Loaded Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin College men's golf team placed tenth of 23 teams at the competitive, season-opening, Duke Nelson Invitational hosted by Middlebury College this weekend.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • Bowdoin finished in a tie for tenth place in the loaded field with a two-day total of 610 (305-305), ending in a deadlock with Williams. Hamilton won the event with a score of 593.
  • Matthew Cohen led the way for the Polar Bears with a 22nd-place finish, carding a 76-75-151 for the two days.
  • Ian Harris was right behind in 27th at 76-76-152, followed by Andrew Flynn in 40th (76-78-154).
  • Oscar Wen and Jack Barned finished with matching 157's to tie for 63rd place and round out the Bowdoin competitors.

  • Bowdoin will head to western Massachusetts next weekend to play in the Williams Fall Invitational at Taconic Golf Club.
