Alex Grand'Pierre Competes at 2024 Paris Olympic Games

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin College's Alex Grand'Pierre represented Haiti at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on Saturday, July 27.
 
Grand'Pierre raced in the second heat of the 100m breaststroke, finishing fourth in a time of 1:02.85, missing out on a trip to the semifinals.
 
The trip capped an exciting 48-hour period for Grand'Pierre, who traversed down the River Seine in Friday evening's Opening Ceremony.

The third member of his family to compete in the Olympic Games (including sister Emilie '23), Grand'Pierre is a multi-time New England Small College Athletic Conference champion, an NCAA Division III All-American, and a Haitian record holder. When he hits the pool in Paris, he will join an exclusive list of Polar Bear Olympians, becoming the fifth Summer Olympian in school history and ninth Olympian overall.
