VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Bowdoin College indoor track and field team racked up four All-American honors last weekend as a trio of athletes competed at the NCAA Division III Championship.
Kianne Benjamin came home with two First Team All-American awards, in the women's 60M and 200M, while
Kane Demers (men's 200M) and
Will Goddard (men's mile) earned Second Team All-American recognition.

Benjamin easily qualified for the finals of both of her events with a pair of Friday preliminary runs, setting a personal best in the 60 (7.49) and running a 24.45 in the 200M. In Saturday's finals, she ran a 7.60 in the 60-meter dash to take fifth and then, just a few hours later, ran a season-best 24.31 in the 200-meter to take fourth overall. Both results netted her First Team All-American status, giving her eight career All-American awards.
Kane Demers ran a 21.71 in preliminaries on Friday in the men's 200M, a personal-best, and well above his qualifying time and seed entering the championship. He just missed out on qualifying for finals by .01 seconds and finished ninth overall to earn Second Team All-American honors.
Will Goddard posted a season-best time of 4:08.96 in the men's mile in preliminaries on Friday to qualify for Saturday's finals in the event. On Saturday, he posted a time of 4:09.26 to take tenth place overall and also earn Second Team All-American recognition.
