BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's ice hockey team will travel to top-seeded Amherst for the quarterfinal round of the 2024 New England Small College Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday, February 24 at 3:00 p.m.
The Polar Bears earned a return bid to the tourney after a one-year absence and are the No. 8 seed for the first time in program history. Despite top-seeded Amherst (20-2-2) sweeping the NESCAC regular-season series, both contest were one-goal games, as the Mammoths claimed 1-0 and 3-2 victories in Brunswick in January. The Polar Bears (8-13-3) are looking to reach the semifinals for the first time since 2018 in a year where nearly every contest has been a nailbiter. Since the beginning of January, Bowdoin has lost nine contests, with six coming by a single goal.
The game will be carried live on the
Northeast Sports Network. The NESCAC Women's Ice Hockey semifinals and final are set for March 1 and 2 at the highest remaining seed.
