PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Bowdoin College women's squash team opened its season with a pair of wins this weekend, helping deliver head coach Brendan McClintick his first career victories. The Polar Bears conclude the first semester with a 2-0 record and will be back in action after the New Year.
 
Weekend Highlights

• 18^th-ranked Bowdoin earned a 9-0 sweep of Brown and a 6-3 win over 21^st-ranked Dickinson for a strong start to the year.
• The Polar Bears posted seven 3-0 sweeps in nine positions against Brown, including shutout victories for Emma Watts-Roy, Darcy Weber, Clare Collins, Kira Gwadry, Amelie Matuch, Linely Grosman, and Mira Karande.
• Amanda Cowhey (3-2) and Delphine King (3-1) rounded out the Bowdoin points in the sweep.
• Against Dickinson, Bowdoin battled at every position, but controlled the bottom of the ladder as Matuch, Grosman, Karande, and King all captured 3-0 wins at spots 6-9. Weber earned a 3-1 win at #3 and Collins took a 3-1 win at #4 to round out the win.
