BRUNSWICK, Maine – Three members of the Bowdoin men's soccer team have been recognized in All-New England Small College Athletic Conference postseason honors announced by the league on Wednesday.
Tyler Huck (Ross, Calif.) and
Carlton Steinberg (Westborough, Mass.) have been named First Team All-NESCAC while
Felipe Rueda Duran (Beaverton, Ore.) has been named Second Team All-Conference.
Huck, a junior midfielder, repeats as a First Team All-NESCAC choice after leading Bowdoin, and ranking third in the conference, in scoring with eight goals and five assists on the year. Three of his goals were game-winners this season and he has 20 goals and 11 assists through his first three years as a Polar Bear.
Steinberg, a senior midfielder, dominated on the wing for Bowdoin this fall, contributing on both offense and defense. He helped lead a Polar Bear defensive unit that permitted just 1.18 goals per game this season, while also scoring two goals on the year. He has eight goals and four assists in his career at Bowdoin.
Rueda Duran, a junior forward, continued to pressure opposing defenses in 2024. With 12 goals and nine assists in his career, his two goals this season came in conference games, against Hamilton and Amherst. He was second on the team with 38 shots.
The Polar Bears
returned to the NCAA Tournament after a one-year absence this fall and will play Hardin-Simmons (Texas) University in San Antonio, in the opening round on Friday evening.
