Women's Track & Field Earns Wins at Smith's Coffey Invite

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin College women's outdoor track & field team took a fourth-place finish at the Smith College Carla Coffey Invitational this weekend in Massachusetts.  
 
Meet Highlights
  • In a deep field that included numerous NESCAC institutions, the Polar Bears totaled 105.5 points at the meet, behind only Middlebury (171.5), Middlebury (153.2), and Tufts (145.4) in the nine-team field.
  • Kianne Benjamin won both the 100m (12.09) and 200m (24.68) events while Cianna O'Flaherty took first in the 400m (57.73).
  • In the distance events, Stephanie Chun earned a first-place finish in the 5000m (17:57.51).
  • Emma Hargreaves rounded out the Bowdoin winners with a victory in the shot put (12.01m), and Kelsey Crawford took a second-place showing in the 3000m steeplechase (11:45.14).

  • The Polar Bears will return to Maine to compete in the Pine Tree State Classic at St. Joseph's on Saturday.
