MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College track & field teams made their final NCAA qualifying attempts of the season at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on Saturday. The Polar Bears posted numerous personal bests with eyes on the NCAA Division III Qualifying Announcement scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
 
Meet Highlights

• Kianne Benjamin posted a new school record in 60m finals (7.68) to place first in the race and moved up on the NCAA list, closer to assuring a spot at nationals.
• Cianna O'Flaherty posted a big PR in the 400 (57.9) while Leila Trummel (4:58.80) and Cameron Mackenzie (5:07.11) also recorded personal bests in the mile.
• Stephanie Chun debuted in 5K (17:54.64) with a mark good for 6th all-time in Bowdoin history while Emma Hargreaves PR'd in shot (12.17m) and weight (15.95m), and ends season third all-time at Bowdoin in weight, improves to a tie for 5th all-time in shot
• On the men's side, Jared Joyce recorded a PR in 400 (50.72) while Cedric Blaise competed in long jump (6.33) and triple jump (12.97m).

• Bowdoin has numerous competitors in the NCAA top-20 heading into Sunday's selection announcement and a number of others on the bubble. The complete NCAA Division III Championship field will be released Sunday evening with the meet scheduled for March 11-12 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
