CLINTON, N.Y. – The Bowdoin College women's squash team rebounded from a quarterfinal loss to Williams to take fifth place at the 2022 NESCAC Championship this weekend at Hamilton. The Polar Bears stand 11-7 after the weekend.
 
Williams Highlights

• In the quarterfinal round on Saturday morning, the Polar Bears almost knocked off third-seeded Williams but fell in an eventual 5-4 decision.
• The Polar Bears got an impressive 3-0 win from Ursula Sze and 3-1 win from Clio Bersani while Caroline Glaser and Skyler Spaulding captured hard-fought 3-2 triumphs.

Middlebury Highlights

• Bowdoin rebounded on Saturday afternoon to dominate Middlebury in a 7-2 victory.
• Amanda Cowhey (3-0) and Melissa Horan (3-0) netted shutout wins for the Polar Bears.
• Emma Watts-Roy, Skyler Spaulding, Ursula Sze, Cabell Crowder and Sophie Barber rounded out the winners for Bowdoin in the match.

Bates Highlights

• Bowdoin capped its weekend with a win over Bates in the fifth-place match on Sunday morning in a convincing 7-2 decision.
• The Polar Bears dominated the bottom of the ladder, winning at spots four through nine.
• Emma Watts-Roy won at number two for Bowdoin (3-1) and Clio Bersani followed with a victory at number four (3-1).
• The Polar Bears rolled from there, getting wins from Skyler Spaulding, Ursula Sze, Cabell Crowder, Melissa Horan and Sophie Barber to put the contest away.
