BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's squash team knocked off Bates, 7-2, in a NESCAC match at the Lubin Center on Wednesday night. The 16
th-ranked Polar Bears (5-1) have won two of their last three matches against the 19
th-ranked Bobcats (1-5).
Match Highlights
- The Polar Bears' depth proved to be the difference on Wednesday night as Bowdoin claimed wins at spots three through nine to walk away with the convincing win.
- Bowdoin posted sweeps at the bottom five spots in the ladder, led by Ursula Sze (11-4, 11-2, 11-2), Clio Bersani (11-2, 11-4, 11-6), Mira Karande (11-3, 11-2, 11-4), Sophie Barber (11-2, 11-2, 11-2) and Delphine King (11-1, 11-3, 11-2).
- The Polar Bears got a 3-1 (11-9, 8-11, 11-8, 11-5) win from Amanda Cowhey and 3-2 (10-12, 11-8, 11-7, 5-11, 12-10) comeback victory from Caroline Glaser.
