Women's Squash Wins Pair of Matches in Mid-Atlantic Road Trip

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bowdoin College women's squash team picked up a pair of wins in a trip to the Mid-Atlantic on Friday and Saturday, earning wins over 25th-ranked Georgetown and Chatham while suffering a close loss to no. 19 Franklin & Marshall. The results leave the 18th-ranked Polar Bears at 6-6 this winter.
 
Georgetown Highlights Franklin & Marshall Highlights
  • Bowdoin dug an early hole but almost completed a comeback in an eventual 5-4 loss on Saturday morning.
  • Emma Watts-Roy dominated (3-0) at number two while Ursula Sze and Sophie Barber captured 3-1 wins, respectively.
  • Delphine King rallied to win at number nine, 3-2, to round out the Bowdoin winners.
Chatham Highlights
  • Bowdoin won their second match on Saturday with a 7-2 win over a shorthanded Chatham team.
  • In the completed matches, Bowdoin got 3-0 wins from Sze, Crowder, Horan and Barber.
