BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's indoor track & field team opened its 2022 campaign with a flourish, running away with first place at the inaugural Peter Slovenski Invitational Saturday at Farley Field House.

Meet Highlights
- Bowdoin easily lapped the competition in their season-opening meet while garnering a number of D-III New England and NEICAAA qualifiers out of the gate.
- Kianne Benjamin took first place in the 60 meter finals in a time of 7.84, just a fraction off the school record while Cianna O'Flaherty won the 400M in 1:01.51.
- Jenna Albanese earned wins in the 200M (28.04) and long jump (5.08m) to post multiple victories for the Polar Bears. Lydia Pitts also took multiple first-places, winning the 60M hurdles (9.19) and triple jump (11.82m).
- Emma Hargreaves also took two wins, in both the shot put (11.20m) and weight throw (14.31m).
- In their first collegiate meets, pole vaulter Charlotte Hodge posted a height of 3.70 meters to take first place overall, and earn qualification for New England's, while Ingra Dovre won the high jump (1.51m).
