Mallory Michaeles Named Assistant Coach for Women's Ice Hockey

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Mallory Michaeles as assistant coach for the women's ice hockey program.

An accomplished coach with a wealth of collegiate experience, Michaeles was most recently the head girl's hockey coach and assistant athletic director at North Yarmouth Academy, and has a familiarity with the Polar Bears, having served as a volunteer assistant coach in recent seasons alongside head coach Marissa O'Neil.

Prior to that, Michaeles spent nine years at her alma mater Colby College, three as the head coach of women's hockey, four as assistant coach. In her seven years with the Mules, she helped lead the program to multiple double-digit win seasons and postseason berths. She also had assistant coaching stints at Williams College and UMass Boston.

Michaeles began her career at New Hampton School in New Hampshire as a coach and teacher from 2005-07. A member of the women's ice hockey team at Colby, she is a 2005 graduate and currently resides in Brunswick with her husband Jonathan and two children.
