BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's squash team returned to the court for the first time since February of 2020, dropping their season-opener to Brown, 7-2, at the Lubin Family Squash Center Saturday.
The Polar Bears (0-1) are ranked 19
th in the College Squash Association preseason poll.
Match Highlights
- Bowdoin played tight matches across the board against the Bears, but were only able to pick up two individual wins on the afternoon.
- Melissa Horan took a come-from-behind 3-2 win at the number eight spot (12-10, 7-11, 10-12, 11-4, 11-6) for the Polar Bears.
- Delphine King won her collegiate debut at the number nine position, claiming an impressive 3-0 sweep (13-11, 13-11, 11-8).
