Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with an authoritative 21-9 win over Williams on Saturday afternoon at Ryan Field.
The 14th-ranked Polar Bears improve to 9-5 (5-4 NESCAC) while the Ephs fall to 7-7 (3-6 NESCAC)
Game Highlights
- On the heels of three early goals by Katie Miller, Bowdoin sprinted to an early 5-1 lead and never looked back.
- The Ephs closed to within three goals, 6-3, on scores from Meghan Halloran and Suzanna Penikis, but the Polar Bears answered with a 5-1 surge, starting and ending on Miller goals, to push their edge to 11-4.
- Bowdoin pushed the contest into running time with a 6-0 run that canvassed the final 1:42 of the first half and the first 7:47 of the second, extending the advantage to double digits on a pair of Fiona Bundy goals.
- Williams never got closer than ten goals over the remainder as Bowdoin cruised to the win.

- Miller led all players with five goals and passed the 100-goal plateau for her career, becoming the fastest player in school history to reach the mark (33 games).
- Fiona Bundy scored four goals and added seven ground balls for the Polar Bears while Kara Finnerty scored two, added three assists, had seven draws and collected four ground balls.
- Eliza Denious and Amanda Anderson also had hat tricks for Bowdoin.
- Williams was led by two goals each from Emma TenBarge, Claire Fitzpatrick and Suzanna Penikis.
- Erin Morrissey made eight saves for the Polar Bears. Kami Cisneros also made eight stops for the Ephs.
- Bowdoin owned a 35-27 advantage in shots for the game and forced 24 turnovers in the game by Williams.
