Coach Pizzo's Report - March 12

The Polar Bears wrapped up their first weekend of competition this weekend with the Rudkin Team Race at Eckerd College.  Six teams from New England and two teams from the South Atlantic competed in the event.  The Polar Bears were shaking off the rust with limited time on the water before the weekend but the team made big improvements throughout the event, finishing with a record of 9-7 and were 3rd of eight teams.  Harrison Hawk, Matt Kaplan, Christian Filter, Matt Safford, Louisa Lindgren, Emily Gonzalez, Hannah Konkel and Marie Bergsund sailed for the Polar Bears.

The team will train at Eckerd College this week before returning to regattas back in New England this upcoming weekend.
