Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin women's hockey team earned a key conference victory in a back and forth 5-4 win at Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears climb to 10-7-3 (4-7-3 NESCAC) after knocking off the number two team in the league. The Camels suffer just their second conference setback of the season to sit at 14-4-4 (9-2-3 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- The Camels jumped out to a 2-0 lead less than ten minutes into the game. Sammi Estes recorded an unassisted tally just 1:07 into play and Erin Dillon added another goal at 8:29.
- Julie Dachille responded to Dillon's goal with Bowdoin's first 21 seconds later, finishing off a feed from Julia Surgenor. Maureen Greason netted a power play equalizer in the 12th minute, sending the teams into the first intermission tied 2-2.
- Connecticut College regained the lead at 6:36 in the second, but again Dachille responded. Brigit Bergin recorded an assist on Dachille's goal at 11:22.
- Bowdoin took its first lead of the game 46 seconds into the final period. Jess Cloutier put away a pass from Katie Leininger.
- Dachille completed the hat trick at 7:03 to secure the win.
- Dillon pulled the Camels within one, scoring with 2:15 remaining in regulation.

- Kerri St. Denis turned away 31 shots for the Polar Bears to earn the win.
- Bailey Mertz made 17 stops for the Camels.
- Bowdoin went 1-for-3 on the power play.
- Connecticut College went 0-for-2 on the power play.
