BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College indoor track teams performed well at their second home invitational of the winter season on Saturday.

In an extremely competitive field, the Polar Bear men placed second overall while the women took fourth place.

Men's Meet Highlights

• Bowdoin earned four wins in the meet - Matthew Jacobson (3000m), Joseph Staudt (60m hurdles), Brian Greenberg (triple jump) and John Pietro (weight throw).
• For the second consecutive meet, Staudt broke his own field house and Bowdoin record in the 60m hurdles with a 8.30.  He also tied his personal record in the high jump (1.93m) while taking 2nd place.
• John Pietro took first with a throw of 15.96m and Vincent LaRovere earned second place with a PR of 15.77m.
• Greenberg recorded a distance of 14.34m in the triple jump to take first while earning second in the long jump with a distance of 6.56m.
• Matt Jacobson claimed the 3000m race by nearly seven seconds, finishing in a time of 8:36.72.

Women's Meet Highlights

• Meghan Bellerose placed second in the 800m (2:21.12) while Demi Feder was second in the 1000m (3:04.88) and third in the one mile run (5:09.83).
• Morgen Gallagher was runner-up in the high jump (1.52m) and third in the long jump (5.39m)
• Bowdoin's 4x400 relay team of Eleanor Brakewood, Leah Matari, Sara Ory and Bellerose took second in a time of 4:11.85.
• Pamela Zabala was third in the weight throw with a oss of 13.69m
• Personal bests for Bowdoin included Caroline Corban (5:13.38) in the mile and Sarah Kinney in the 5000m (18:37.48).
