Women's Squash Falls to Wesleyan In First Home Match of Season

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's squash team suffered a close 5-4 setback to Wesleyan in its first home match of the season on Wednesday afternoon.

The 24th-ranked Cardinals improve to 4-4 while the 18th-ranked Polar Bears drop to 1-6 on the season.

Match Highlights

  • The Polar Bears earned wins at positions 2-5, including 3-0 wins by Tully Ross and Alexa Horwitz.
  • Lindsey Bindra took a 3-1 victory at the #2 position and Chloe Polikoff claimed a hard-fought 3-2 (13-11,8-11,11-6,6-11,11-7) win at #5.
  • The tightest match of the day came at #8 as Alessandra Lampietti of Wesleyan edged Mariela Mendoza 3-2 (10-12,6-11,11-6,13-11,11-9).
