NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Members of the Bowdoin outdoor track & field teams competed at the Open New England Championships hosted by Southern Connecticut State University last weekend.

Bowdoin's 4x800 meter relay team of John Kennealy, Conor Donahue, James Sullivan and Jacob Ellis took second overall in a loaded field with a season-best time of 7:38.66, trailing only Division I Northeastern. Ben Torda recorded Bowdoin's top individual finish, placing seventh in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:30.10.

The Polar Bears will compete in the ECAC Championship at Westfield State next weekend in their final regular season event of the spring.
