Box Score BRADENTON, Fla. - The Hamilton College women's lacrosse team held Bowdoin scoreless for over 30 minutes and used a 9-0 run to take an eventual 12-6 win on Tuesday evening in Florida.
The Continentals improve to 3-1 (2-1 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears fall to 1-3 (0-3 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin scored the first two goals of the game, as Megan O'Connor and Lindsay Picard got the Polar Bears on the board in the opening four minutes
- The Polar Bears went cold from there, however, as Hamilton held Bowdoin scoreless for over 33 minutes through the remainder of the first half and opening minutes of the second period
- Meanwhile, the Continentals rolled off a 9-0 run during that span, getting three goals from Margaret Gabriel in the surge, to take a commanding 9-2 advantage
- Bowdoin regained its footing and answered with a 4-1 run, capped by a pair of Picard goals, to close the gap to 10-6 with seven minutes to go, but could get no closer

- Picard led Bowdoin with three goals, three draw controls and two caused turnovers
- Gabriel and Morgan Fletcher led Hamilton with three goals each
- Kayli Weiss allowed seven goals and made four saves in the first half for Bowdoin before Erin Morrissey made two stops and permitted five goals in the second for Bowdoin
- Hannah Burrall made eight saves for Hamilton
