Women's Track Places Eighth at New England D-III Championship

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin College women's track team placed eighth at the New England Division III Championships this weekend at Middlebury College.

The Polar Bears totaled 36 points to tie for eighth with Colby and rank fifth among NESCAC programs at the meet.

Meet Highlights

  • Bowdoin enjoyed a fantastic showing in the field events, capturing a pair of runner-up finishes
  • Katharine Krupp posted a distance of 11.53 meters to take second in the triple jump
  • Addison Carvajal was also a runner-up in the pentathlon, recording a score of 3,345 points
  • Sarah Kelley ran an excellent race in the mile, finishing in 4:56.34, just getting edged out at the wire
  • Meghan Bellerose was sixth in the 600 meter (1:38.08)
  • Bowdoin's top relay team was their women's distance team of Allyson Fulton, Eleanor Brakewood, Bellerose and Demi Feder that took fourth place (12:35.65)
