WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team cruised to a 9-0 win over Tufts in the opening round of the 2015 NESCAC Squash Tournament on Friday at Williams College.
The seventh-seeded Polar Bears advance to Saturday's quarterfinal round where they will play second-seeded Williams at 9:30 a.m.
Bowdoin wasted little time taking care of business against the Jumbos. Sarah Nelson (3-0), Torey Lee (3-0), Tully Ross (3-0), and Alden Drake (3-0) all swept in positions 1-4, respectively. Diya Chopra was tested in a 3-2 win at #5, while Chloe Polikoff (3-0), Emily Simonton (3-1), Alex Moreno (3-0) and Maggie Bland (3-0) each notched wins to round out the competition.
The Polar Bears will be looking to avenge an 8-1 loss earlier this season to the Ephs, back on January 10.
