BOSTON, Mass. - A pair of school records fell on Friday at the opening day of the Open New England Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Boston University.

Addison Carvajal established a new school mark by winning the pentathlon while Erin Silva broke her own school record again in the pole vault.

Carvajal finished first in the long jump discipline of the pentathlon, second in the 800 meters and third in the shot put to help accumulate a score of 3,522. The total will rank among the top three scores in Division III this winter and breaks her previous school mark.

Silva was second in the pole vault, clearing the 4.00 meter plateau (13-01.50) for the first time in her career. Silva is now owns the #1 height in Division III this winter.
