Women's Squash Falls to Amherst, Finishes 18th at CSA Nationals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team came up just short in its bid for the Walker Cup on Sunday at the College Squash National Tournament hosted by Harvard.

The Polar Bears dropped a 6-3 decision to the Jeffs to finish their season with a record 10-12 and finish their year ranked 18th in the nation.

Bowdoin picked up wins at the top two positions against the Jeffs, as Sarah Nelson captured a 3-2 win at the #1 position and Torey Lee claimed a 3-0 triumph at #2. Diya Chopra earned the other victory on the day for Bowdoin, claiming a 3-0 win at #5.

Virginia Ross suffered a close 3-2 setback at #3 while Alden Drake (3-1) and Sara Wlodarczyk (3-1) also took close losses as the Polar Bears came close to pulling out the win.
