CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team cruised to a 8-1 win over Wesleyan in its opening round match in the Walker Cup Division of the CSA National Tournament on Friday at Harvard.
The Polar Bears, seeded 19th nationally, now advance to play Hamilton, the 18th seed in the semifinal round on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Bowdoin will be looking to avenge a 6-3 loss to the Continentals just a week ago at the NESCAC Tournament.
On Friday, Bowdoin eased to seven 3-0 shutouts en route to the team win. Torey Lee, Virginia Ross, Alden Drake, Diya Chopra, Sara Wlodarczyk, Chloe Polikoff and Emily Simonton all claimed sweeps. Alex Moreno earned a 3-1 win to round out the Bowdoin victors.
