BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's basketball team scored a season-high 95 points and had little trouble dispatching the University of Maine-Farmington on Friday evening at Morrell Gymnasium, 95-48.

The Polar Bears close out their fall semester with a record of 5-3, winning four of their last five before the break. Farmington drops to 0-8 on the season

Game Highlights

• Bowdoin came out red-hot, hitting seven of their first eight three-pointers in the first half  and sprinting to a 22-6 lead after just seven minutes of play.
• First-year Jack Simonds led the charge, scoring 16 first-half points, including 4-5 from long-range to give the hosts a 52-27 lead at halftime
• The Polar Bears reserves continued to roll  in the second half as 11 different Bowdoin players scored
• Bowdoin would lead by as many as 53 in the second half en route to their largest margin of victory this season

By The Numbers

• Bowdoin finished at 60% shooting for the game and held UMF to 31.6%, including 16.7% from three-point range
• Simonds finished with a game-high 27 points in just 23 minutes. He also grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots while going 11-13 from the field, including 5-6 three-pointers
• Lucas Hausman scored 19 points on 7-10 shooting while Matt Palecki added 11 points and seven boards. Blake Gordon led the Bowdoin reserves with seven points off the bench
• UMF was paced by 13 points from Nick Hilton and 12 from Eric Berry
• The Polar Bears owned a 44-23 edge in rebounding
