Second Half Rally Pushes Wesleyan Past Men's Basketball

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Bowdoin College men's basketball team couldn't hold a halftime lead and dropped an 83-72 decision at Wesleyan on Friday evening. The Polar Bears fall to 15-8 (5-4 NESCAC) while the Cardinals move to 18-5 (8-1 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Ray Cuevas scored 17 points as Bowdoin shot 56% in the first half to take a nine point edge, 43-34, at the break.
  • Wesleyan opened the second half on an 10-0 run to take their first lead of the game, 44-43, with 16 minutes to go.
  • The teams exchanged the lead five times over a three-minute span, with Bowdoin taking their final lead of the game, 48-47, with 13:33 remaining.
  • The Cardinals answered with an 11-1 surge, opening up a 58-49 lead with 10 minutes to go.
