BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's outdoor track & field team defeated Colby in the 26th annual Aloha Relays Saturday at Magee-Samuelson track.
UPDATE (4/21): After recalcuation of results, Bowdoin finished with a team score of 163 points, with Colby finishing in second place with 159.50 points. Bates (150), Southern Maine (89.50), Husson (32), Mount Holyoke (22) and St. Joseph's (15) rounded out the competing teams.
Katherine Krupp and Katherine Harmon came away with multiple wins for the Polar Bears. Krupp won the long jump (5.22 meters) and triple jump (11.25 meters) while Harmon took the discus (37.60 meters) and hammer throw (51.40 meters) for Bowdoin. Erin Silva continued her excellent spring with another win in the pole vault (3.51 meters).
Demi Feder won the 800 meter run in 2:20.20, taking the race by a .45 second margin while Camille Wasinger won the 1500 meter race in a time of 4:47.42. Gillian Kramer collected a win in the challenging 10,000 meter run in 40:38.53. Bowdoin's 4x800 relay team of Allyson Fulton, Lucy Skinner, Feder and Wasinger was victorious in 9:58.86.
Addison Carvajal took first place in the two-day heptathlon competition, totaling a score of 4,455 points to easily win the event.
Bowdoin will return to action next Saturday as they travel to Colby for the NESCAC Championship meet.
