Women's Squash Closes Season With Victory Over St. Lawrence

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team edged St. Lawrence, 5-4, to take 19th place in the nation Sunday in the Walker Cup Division of the Team National Tournament.

The Polar Bears avenge an early-season loss to St. Lawrence and finish their season with an overall record of 10-13.

For the third-straight day, the match hung in the balance for the Polar Bears. Bowdoin got off to a solid start, getting points from Sarah Nelson at #2 (3-1) Chloe Polikoff at #5 (3-0), Sara Wlodarczyk at #6 (3-0) and Emily Simonton at #8 (3-1).

With the result in the balance, Christiana Whitcomb stepped up and claimed the clinching point for the Polar Bears, sweeping her opponent at #7 to seal the win for Bowdoin.
