Women's Squash Falls in Walker Cup Semifinals to Amherst

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team lost a heartbreaking 5-4 decision to Amherst in the semifinals of the Walker Cup Division at the CSA Team National Tournament Saturday.

The Polar Bears fall into the consolation final of the bracket on Sunday, where they will play St. Lawrence for 19th place in the country at 8:30 a.m.

Bowdoin got wins from the top three spots in the ladder, with Rachel Barnes (3-0), Sarah Nelson (3-1) and Michaela Martin (3-1) taking wins. Chloe Polikoff also claimed a point at #5 for the Polar Bears with a 3-1 victory.

The Jeffs claimed a pair of 3-2 wins - at #4 and #6 to help seal their win. It marked the second 5-4 victory for Amherst over Bowdoin this month.
