SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's indoor track and field team placed fifth at the New England Division III Championship Saturday at Springfield College.
The Polar Bears totaled 51 points to trail only Williams (150), MIT (119), Tufts (94) and Amherst (67).
Erin Silva was the top performer, earning a second-place finish in the pole vault (3.75 meters) and breaking her own school mark in the event.
Katharine Krupp was third in the triple jump (11.05 meters) while Katherine Harmon also took the bronze in the weight throw (16.05 meters). Lucy Skinner was a fourth-place finisher in the 3000 meters (10:18.97).
In the team events, Bowdoin's 4x400 relay team took third (4:05.79), courtesy of Samantha Copland, Liz Znamierowski, Cleo Daoud and Emily Clark. The Distance Medley Relay team of Camille Wasinger, Daoud, Demi Feder, and Skinner was fourth in 12:26.12.
Bowdoin will return to action at the Open New England Championship hosted by Boston University next weekend.
