Clark and Harmon Earn Wins as Women's Track Takes Third at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's indoor track and field team finished third in a loaded field at the Tufts Stampede Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears totaled 71 points to trail just MIT (231.50) and Tufts (165.50) in the meet.

Emily Clark continued her fantastic winter campaign by winning the 200 meter dash in 26.29 while Katherine Harmon won the weight throw with a distance of 15.74 meters.

Addison Carvajal posted a pair of impressive showings, earning second in the high jump (1.58 meters) and third in the long jump (5.09 meters). Erin Silva was second in the pole vault for Bowdoin with a height of 3.40 meters.

Other strong finishes for the Polar Bears included Clark taking fourth in the 60 meter hurdles (9.36), Liz Znamierowski earning fourth in the 400 meters (1:02.15) and Randi London earning fifth in the shot put (11.51 meters).

The Bowdoin women will look to defend their crown at the Maine State Championship next Friday night at the University of Southern Maine. Action is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
