Bowdoin Falls in Quarterfinals of NESCAC Women's Squash Tournament

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team was bounced in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon, but rebounded for a win in the consolation round.

The Polar Bears suffered an 8-1 setback to Bates to be eliminated from championship contention. Bowdoin then defeated Amherst 6-3 to advance in the consolation bracket of the tournament where they lost to Hamilton in their weekend finale, 6-3.

Against the Bobcats, Bowdoin's lone point came from Christiana Whitcomb at the number nine position. Later in the day against the Jeffs, Torey Lee (#1), Rachel Barnes (#2), Alden Drake (#3), Monica Wlodarczyk (#4), Michaela Martin (#5) and Sara Wlodarczyk (#8) all collected wins.

Against Hamilton, Lee (#1), Martin (#5) and Schetman (#6) earned the victories for the Polar Bears.
