WOMEN'S BRACKET/RESULTS
HARTFORD, Conn. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team
reached the semifinals, going 1-1 at the NESCAC Championship
Tournament this weekend at Trinity College. The Polar Bears
defeated Hamilton 9-0 in the quarterfinals before falling to
Williams 9-0 to close out their tournament chances.
Bowdoin swept the ladder against the Continentals thanks to
impressive showings from Elena Laird, Lauren Gesswein and Kate
Gormley at the top three spots. In the loss to Williams, Gormley
and Biz Gillespie were each able to steal a game against the
second-seeded Ephs.
The Polar Bears stand at 7-9 this season and will return to
action at home on February 4 against Colby.
