Men's Tennis Earns Hosting Rights for NCAA Regional This Weekend

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team has earned a first-round bye and will host an NCAA Division III Tournament regional at Pickard Courts this weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 8-10.

The Polar Bears (17-4) finished as the NESCAC runners-up and are ranked sixth in the latest Division III poll. An at-large bid to the tournament, Bowdoin is making its 24th appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship and will be hosting a regional for the third straight year. Bowdoin will be looking to make their ninth trip to the finals site, having won the NCAA Division III crown in 2016.  Action begins with two first-round matches Friday between Farmingdale State/Roger Williams and Skidmore/Bridgewater State. Bowdoin will play the winner of Farmingdale/Roger Williams in the second round while Babson will face the winner of Skidmore/Bridgewater. Saturday's winners will meet in the regional final on Sunday.
