Coach Pizzo's Report - April 13
The Polar Bears competed in two regattas this past weekend including the Thompson Trophy at the US Coast Guard Academy and the Women's Team Race Champs at Tufts.
A field of 16 teams competed in the Thompson Trophy over the weekend, a team race regatta featuring many of the top teams in the country. Polar Bears finished with a record of 7-8 in a wide variety of conditions, finishing tied for ninth, one win out of seventh overall. The Polar Bears had wins against Navy, Yale, Connecticut College, Tufts, Tulane, Coast Guard, and Roger Williams.

Henry Ladd represented the Polar Bears.
The NEISA Women's Team Race Champs was hosted by Tufts. A ten-team regatta featuring nearly all the top teams in the country that resulted in incredibly tight competition, with six teams tied for first after the first round. The Polar Bears finished tied for fifth overall with a record of 9-7.

Bowdoin will learn about selection for team race nationals on Tuesday, April 14.
This upcoming weekend, the team will transition to fleet racing with the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl at Brown, the Reed Trophy at Coast Guard, the Boston Dinghy Challenge Cup, and the Morris Trophy.
