Kennedy Kirkland Earns NCAA Qualification in Long Jump

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin junior Kennedy Kirkland (Oakland, Calif.) has earned a trip to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in selections announced on Sunday night.
 
Kennedy, who matched her season best in the long jump at the Tufts Final Qualifier on Saturday (5.72m / 18' 9.25"), is ranked 17th in the country heading into nationals. It will be Kirkland's second appearance at indoor nationals, as she placed sixth, earning All-American honors, at last year's event. She has also qualified for the outdoor NCAA Championships in both 2024 and '25.
 
The championship will begin on Friday, March 13 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. The women's long jump is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Complete coverage will be provided at NCAA.com.
