BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College hockey teams have learned their quarterfinal round opponents for the opening round of the NESCAC Hockey Tournament scheduled for Saturday, February 28.
 
The men's ice hockey team (17-6-1) is the second seed for the championship and will host Amherst (12-10-2) in a quarterfinal game in Watson Arena at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams split the regular season meetings with the Mammoths winning in Amherst on Jan. 10 (2-1) and Bowdoin winning the match in Brunswick on Feb. 7 (3-0). No tickets will be required for the game.
 
The women's ice hockey team (11-12-0) has earned the seventh seed and will travel to play at second-seeded Amherst (16-2-6) at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Orr Rink in Massachusetts. Bowdoin will look to bounce back against the Mammoths, who claimed a sweep of the Polar Bears in a pair of close games in Brunswick on Jan. 30-31.
