BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's golf team has been named the 2024-25 Platform Golf Division III Academic National Champion, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears posted a 3.81 team GPA during the academic year, the highest among all Division III programs. They also earned Presidents Special Recognition for maintaining a team average GPA above 3.5.
Individually, four student-athletes were named Cobalt All-America Scholars:
Matthew Cohen,
Andrew Flynn,
Ian Harris, and
Joey Zheng. To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors, compete in at least 50% of their team's competitive rounds, and hold a stroke average below 79.0.
Bowdoin will open its 2025-26 season at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College, on September 13–14.
