BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin College first-year
Emily Renoff has qualified for the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship in selections announced on Monday.
Renoff is the first golfer in school history – men's or women's – to qualify for the NCAA Championship. She will compete beginning May 13 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The first at-large individual to be selected to the championship, Renoff picked up two individual wins (The Ruckus and Williams Fall Invitational) and owns an adjusted scoring average of 72.9 this year. At the Williams Invitational in September, Renoff set a new single-round record (68) and 36-hole record (139).
The NCAA DIII Women's Golf Championships include team and individual play over 72 holes. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the top 15 teams and the top six individuals not on those teams. Complete coverage will be announced next week.
