Women's Golf Places Sixth at Competitive Phinney Classic

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin College women's golf team placed sixth of 12 teams at the 2025 George Phinney Classic this weekend hosted by Middlebury College at Ralph Myhre Golf Club.
 
Weekend Highlights
  • The Polar Bears finished sixth of 12 teams with a two-day total of 324-317-641, just four strokes off a top-three finish.
  • Katie Ng jumped 11 spots from day one to day two, finishing at 80-77-157 to end in a tie for fourth place overall, six strokes off the medalist score.
  • Shivani Schmulen went 81-77-158, jumping 13 spots on Sunday to end in a tie for eight place.
  • Isabella Salerno (23rd, 162), Emily Renoff (28th, 164), Hailey Ryan (44th, 173) and Emilia Rose (50th, 177) were the other Bowdoin players in the 69-player field.
