Schedule Changed for Bowdoin-Williams NESCAC Baseball Quarterfinal Series

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced changes to this weekend's NESCAC Baseball Quarterfinal series between the Polar Bears and Williams College.

Due to the anticipation of poor weather late Saturday into Sunday morning, the series has been tentatively changed to a single game on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., followed by game two on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m., with game three to follow on Sunday afternoon, if needed.

Bowdoin is the No. 2 seed in the East for the first time since 2013 and is making its fourth straight appearance in the NESCAC Tournament and its 11th appearance overall. The Polar Bears host a quarterfinal series for the first time since 2022, the first year of the current tournament format.

The Polar Bears face the West No. 3 seed Williams. The teams have played each other seven times in the NESCAC postseason, but the last meeting was in 2012 in Game 5 of the Championship Weekend. The Polar Bears posted a 2-1 win and own a 4-3 record against the Ephs.

Bowdoin looks to advance to Championship Weekend for the second time in three tournaments, and the Polar Bears would play in their home park, which is serving as a predetermined host of the final weekend of the NESCAC Championship.

All three games will be carried live on the Northeast Sports Network.
